February 17th, 2014: Mr. Pema
Thinley, Forest Ranger of Wangdue Forest Division together with Mr. Siddhartha Goswami, an Indian wild life
photographer in-fielded right along the bank of Phochhu and captured three
different images of White-bellied heron from six different spots.
Holding their patience, the photography
begun early at 5;00AM until 6;00PM in the evening. Yet to and fro journey from
Punakha Dzong to Samdingkha proved fruitful as they aspired for. As
such, the Royal Society of
Protection of Nature has been involved in serial conservation projects to
conserve this bird species since it is critically endangered species in the
world.
