The orphaned cubs were rehabilitated at Wangdue Forest Division recue center. It was week-old cubs, with eyes and ears not open (a bear cub’s eyes usually on day 17 and ears on day 32). The cubs were bottle-fed with the packet toned milk formula every three hours with the same formula. Mr. KP Dhakal, caretaker reminds the people to respect these bears as wild animals, and always keeping a safe distance from the cubs, no matter how cute and cuddly they look.

After a few months at Wangdue Division, the cubs was moved to Thimphu (Taba) on May 6th, 2016, a better enclosure where they could play and explore in the trees, grass, ponds, and foliage. The will be soon released back to their natural environment to be true bear instincts to survive and thrive.
